La Croix du Sud

Situated between Gaillac and Cordes , this holiday destination is perfect for exploring the Bastide towns and the beautiful small villages of the Tarn.

Close to the historic town of Albi with its historic cathedral and Toulouse Lautrec museum, it is also well situated for the fine food and fine wine of Gaillac.

Catherine and  Guillaume  fell in love with this little corner of paradise, a stone built house sitting on a hillside with a fabulous view of the Bastide town of Castelnau de Montmiral.

The old farmhouse is believed to have been a resting point for pilgrins on the route to St Jacques de Compostelle.

Hospitability in relaxing surroundings is our aim, making this a perfect escape for both couples and families.

B and B with the added option for evening meal at the "table d'hotes".

A communal lounge "La Case Créole", exclusively for BandB guests to relax in, meet others and discover information about the region.

The House

A charming B and B in the Tarn.

An ideal place to stay, in a beautiful ancient farmhouse, in the sunny south-west of France, with the unspoilt landscapes and the charming medievad villages and fortified bastides north of Toulouse.

You will find us on the « Route des Bastides Albigeoises » just outside the village ( down the school - 1km ) of Castelnau de Montmiral : one of the 149 most beautiful villages of France.

Albi, Cordes and Gaillac are some of the other famous cities and villages in our neighbourhood. We are located in the midst of the Gaillac vineyards, and near the forest of Grésigne. The area is excellent for walking and cycling.

Welcome in our 15th century farmhouse. Catherine and Guillaume, the owners, have completely renovated the house and tastefully decorated the 4 guest rooms.

La Croix du Sud is a 4 stars bed and breakfast, marrying the charm of a beautiful old farm to modern comfort, a large swimming pool, a lounge/kitchenette « la Case Créole », terrace from which you can admire views on the bastide of Castelnau de Montmiral and the nearby forêt de la Grésigne ( a 2000ha oak forest - the largest in the south-west of France ), a lovely garden, 5 ha of land around, WIFI .........
